ABOUT TOMMIE

My name is Tommie Michele Rivituso, and I’m a young adult author from Gilbert, AZ. A Christ-follower whose primary pursuits are Jesus, coffee, engineering, and books, I’ve loved writing since I was a kid, and I began my first full-length project (an early, early phase of Drafted) during quarantine—I’ve published two books with Descendant Publishing and become obsessed with storytelling since.
Storytelling is an experience unlike any other. It's a little piece of your soul that you can share with other people, but more than that, it's a journey of discovery. In my writing, I love to explore Biblical themes and to honor God through the stories I tell. I write for the YA reader who seeks stories that are adventurous and fast-paced with flawed, developed characters, but also clean and centered around God-honoring themes.

**And, because it's a thing that needs to be clarified nowadays: I have never and will never use gen AI in any part of my writing or publishing process.**
I’m an old-school pen-and-paper kind of person—a typewriter and a small collection of fountain pens are sitting on my desk right now—but questions and comments, from readers and aspiring writers alike, are always welcome in my digital inbox!

NEWS AND UPDATES
My first big announcement in what feels like FOREVER:

I'm officially launching developmental editing services!

This has been in the works for months, and I'm thrilled to finally make it public. If you have a project you're ready to bring to the next level, check out the page linked below for details!
What comes next?

With the Drafted duology complete, I've been hard at work on my newest project: an epic fantasy series that I've temporarily dubbed Project Halo!

I can't share much yet, but I can say that it'll be a gritty, Biblically-themed story for fans of Avatar: the Last Airbender, Mistborn, and Wheel of Time (the first book, not the show :).

This is the story God has laid on my heart for over a year and a half now, and I'm excited to finally be devoting my writing focus to it!
